Welcome to our Grants and Scholarship funds
Global Women Intact, a non-profit organization, is making grants and scholarships available to women and girls (organizations) seeking to end or provide alternative means to female circumcision worldwide, beginning July 20, 2007. Scholarships will be made available to girls whose parents can't afford to pay for their school fees. And funding, financial aid and educational scholarships will be made available to secondary school girls annually, beginning in March, all grant recipients will be selected according to the following guidelines:

1. All candidates for grants and scholarships must submit a legible or type-written one page proposal clearly stating how your organization would utilize a ($500) grant or scholarship, how such aid would benefit the female gender in your community and help end female circumcision worldwide.

2. Also, what kind of workshops would your group provide to address said issue and when and where would these be held and how would they be facilitated.

Note: No individuals will be rewarded monies, all recipients move have an organizational bank account and a stated agenda or history for educating, organizing and assisting in the betterment of women.

If your organization follows the above criteria and is not rewarded a grant or scholarship from Global Women Intact there still may be other ways and means we can assist you and work with you for the benefit of women, humanity and the environment.

For Students,

Global Women Intact is providing an excellent opportunity for students and women of culture of all persuasions who are interested in serving their communities and the world community at large. We are offering a $100 dollar grant/scholarship for the best essay or poem about how and why human beings can and should end the practice of female circumcision.
Perhaps you have some statistical information or a survey on how harmful, physically and emotionally, this practice can be. Perhaps you or someone you know have experienced the horrors of female circumcision. Who does circumcision benefit and is it an antiquated practice that has outgrown its original usage?
There is no entry fee and all that is required is that you write and send in a legible 500 words or less essay or poem and email it to Global Women Intact, at esolo69781@aol.com. And check out the website: www.celebrateclitoris.com.

Giving refugee children a head start in school.
Global Women Intact would like to thank each and every one of you, for every support, letter, and show you attended. We appreciate your donations of pens, pencils, and books made to us. The supplies went to the refugee children between the boundaries of Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea. With your help, we were able to sponsored 5 girls and 3 boys at the RC elementary school in Yanladue in West Africa. Also five hundred dollars donations went to the village women program, which give free loads to local women to start their own businesses.
